Journeys through the Market

This is my first week as a student at Tyler School of Art and Design.  I can't tell you how long I've waited for this and how much work I've put into my being here.  While I'm excited to be here, I'm also a bit intimidated.  I'm here on my own with very few familiar faces, and coming in during the second semester as a transfer student means that people have already made connections.

I have often traveled through the city wasting time with friends, but haven't been to the Reading Terminal Market since my uncle passed.  He always got me sticks of honey after trips to the art museum.  Going back was quite the experience.  Things weren't as big as I remembered, which is understandable, and it appeared to be more like a classier Zern's than anything else.  Overall, I enjoyed being in such a lively atmosphere surrounded by craftsmen of all sorts.
